Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner was snapped Monday on the set of his new film, Abduction, being filmed in Pittsburgh, PA, and RadarOnline.com has the brand new pics.
Lautner, 18, was spotted clad in all black and sporting shades as he rode a motorcycle for one scene.
Abduction stars Taylor as a young man who’s determined to find out the truth about his identity after seeing his baby photo on a missing person’s website.

Here’s the proof that Taylor Lautner is a bonafide action star: He beats the bad guys and doesn’t even have to show his abs ONCE to do so!
If you thought Taylor Lautner’s Twilight character, werewolf Jacob Black, was a badass, just wait until you see what’s in store for him in his newest film, Abduction, according to a version of the film’s script!
The sexy 18-year-old stud stars as Nathan Harper, a high school senior who drinks, who dreams of leaving his hometown of Bridgewater, Virginia and who has a crush on cute brunette cheerleader Karen Lowell.
Except Nathan ISN’T all that normal. While working on a school project about abducted kids, he realizes HE is one of the missing children. As soon as he becomes aware of his true identity, Nathan is immediately pursued villains who have been searching for him since he was “taken” at the age of three.
The bad guys are former Ukrainian KGB Operatives who want to kill Nathan (real name Nathan Steven Spade) because of something his REAL dad, Black Ops secret agent Martin Spade, did in the past (we won’t give TOO much away here). His initial “kidnapping” was done for his own protection, so that he could live a normal and avoid danger.
Danger finds Nathan, of course, leading him on an action-packed journey from Virginia to Toronto, Canada, where he is shot at, stabbed, bombed, strangled, kidnapped TWICE, kills TWO people and saves the love of his life (Lily Collins).
John Singleton ( 2 Fast 2 Furious, Shaft, Boyz N The Hood) directs the film, which begins shooting in Pittsburgh, Penn. this week and is slated for a 2011 release, and he’s sure to make Taylor Lautner THE next big action star. Watch out, Will Smith and Matt Damon, your days are numbered!

Lily Collins is pretty sure Taylor Lautner, her co-star in “Abduction,” will doff his shirt at some point in the film — “which everyone would totally hate, right?” she joked recently with MTV News.
When it comes to the onscreen removal of shirts and the baring of abdominal muscles, of course, Lautner is well-practiced. His “Eclipse” character seems almost allergic to covering his torso, so often does the teen werewolf appear shirtless. For other facets of “Abduction,” though, Lautner has needed some practice. That’s why he’s been hard at work for months in preparation for the summer shoot.
“I’ve been training,” he told MTV News. “I did boxing training for a couple months. Now I’m into the fight training, motorcycle, I think when I get to Pittsburgh, do a little swimming training. It’s all around. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
In the Jason Bourne-style thriller, Lautner stars as a teen who stumbles upon his baby picture on a missing-persons website. As he reaches out to his birth parents, Lautner finds himself caught up in a world of underground spies and death-defying stunts. Joining him and Collins are Alfred Molina, Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs and Maria Bello.
“Abduction” is just one film in a growing lineup of action-centric roles for Lautner. The 18-year-old has the stunt-heavy “Eclipse” arriving in June, and he has plans for a superhero turn in “Stretch Armstrong” and a stylized thriller in “Cancun.”
“I love action, but most important is the story,” Lautner said. “And the story behind this action thriller ['Abduction'] is amazing. We got [director] John Singleton behind us. … I’m so thankful we’re getting a cast like that.”

“Last week a bidding war raged over Abduction, a script by Shawn Christensen with the increasingly sought-after 18-year-old Taylor Lautner attached to star and produce. Lionsgate ultimately acquired the rights for nearly $1 million and hopes to find a director in time to shoot this July. The script may go through a final polish in the next few months, but first here’s a look at what caused the studio frenzy:
After the initial setup, the brisk script is lined with action set pieces, but its overall tone and simplicity skew towards a younger, PG-13 audience. Of course, Lautner fans will be happy to know his character removes his shirt at least once. The script may not be worthy of a million dollar payday, but its franchise potential certainly might.”
I am so excited, who is with me?

Just last week we marveled at the sheer number of projects “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner had in development, and perhaps he was starting to feel the pressure too. After dropping out of “Northern Lights” earlier this week, the 18-year-old has parted ways with another project, “Max Steel,” based on the Mattel toy, reports New York magazine’s Vulture blog.
Sources say it was his “Stretch Armstrong” collaboration with rival toy company Hasbro that was the impetus for Taylor’s departure. According to Vulture, Taylor realized Hasbro was doing a better job with its movie properties than Mattel. To wit, the toy company has leveraged board games Candy Land, Battleship and Risk into high-profile projects and had earlier success with a couple small flicks called “G.I. Joe” and “Transformers.” Added one source, “When you sign up to make a movie with Hasbro, you know it will be in theaters a year later.”
Less of Taylor Lautner is never a good thing, but we can’t say we’re too sad to see “Max Steel” go. While the toy is wildly popular internationally, it doesn’t seem to have much name recognition here in the U.S. Though we will mourn those could-have-been shirtless scenes. Sigh.
So to recap, Taylor’s current project list is comprised of “Cancun,” “Abduction” and “Stretch Armstrong.” And “Breaking Dawn” if Summit ever gets around to it. Still a lot for the rising actor, but a more manageable list, for sure.
What do you think about Taylor dropping out of “Max Steel”?
