Taylor has had enough of dating girls who are preoccupied with themselves and instead is opting for the single life for a while.

“I just want someone who can be themselves. Not put on a show,” said Taylor. “It is as simple as that. I’m not dating anyone right now.”

Following Lautner’s split from Swift, it was claimed the two Taylors decided to call time their short-lived, highly-publicized romance after a series of fights over food.

“Unlike Lautner, Swift is anti-diet. Her favorite restaurant is the Cracker Barrel near her family’s Henderson, Tenn., home,” a source said in December.

“Her favorite dish is their biscuits and gravy — something Lautner wouldn’t touch with a 10-foot pole!

“Lautner is very athletic and health-conscious, so he eats mostly low-fat protein like skinless chicken breasts, egg whites and vegetables and fruits.

“But Swift loves cheeseburgers and has a major sweet tooth.

“Picking restaurants for date nights has turned into a huge headache and always leads to a squabble.

“The only food option they can agree on is sushi.”

Taylor Lautner remained composed when receiving an award from his ex-girlfriend.

The ‘Twilight Saga: New Moon’ was handed the Favourite Breakout Actor accolade from Taylor Swift – who he recently split from following a brief romance – at the 36th Annual People’s Choice awards show held in Los Angeles.

He was later seen giving her a standing ovation when she picked up her own honour, for Favourite Female Artist.

Taylor’s award was not the only one given to the vampire franchise – which also stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart – as it was also recognised as Favourite On-Screen Team and Favorite Franchise.

Sandra Bullock was a big winner at the ceremony, beating Kristen and Jennifer Aniston to be named Favourite Movie Actress and her film ‘The Proposal’ was named Favourite Comedy.

Speaking of her wins, she said: “I am only up here because I am fortunate to work with people who make me look good. Thanks most of all to my family… life is hard sometimes, but we get through with laughter.”

Other winners included Johnny Depp, who won the Actor of the Decade and Best Actor, and Lady Gaga, who was honoured in the Favorite Pop Artist and Favourite Breakout Music Artist categories.

Another source close to Swift, or maybe it’s the same one for all we know, told People magazine the two Taylors’ relationship was hardly the second coming of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Or even Larry Fortensky.

“It was never a big deal to begin with. The media made way more out of it than it is,” a source close to Swift says. “They went out on a few dates and realized this was just not going anywhere.”

Lautner also has sources close to him, and one told People: “He lives in L.A. and she lives in Nashville and their busy schedules kept it from becoming more than it was.”

Lautner, 17, and Swift, 20, met while filming “Valentine’s Day.” He popped up at two of her concerts in Chicago, “defended” her honor on “Saturday Night Live” Dec. 12 (no, not the show she hosted) and surprised her at her birthday party the next night.

Taylor Lautner deserves a big congratulations! His episode of Saturday Night Live received the highest TV ratings of the SNL season, according to TV by the Numbers. It was also the number one program of the night on the major networks, besting everything in prime-time.

Taylor Lautner did an amazing job on Saturday Night Live last night. I wasn’t sure how funny he would be based on the SNL promos, but I was pleasantly surprised!

A few of his skits made me laugh so hard. He shows off his impressive martial arts moves in his monologue about Taylor Swift, dances, raps, and has bad hair in almost every scene. I guess he wouldn’t be as funny if he was too good looking!

Watch all of Taylor’s skits below. My faves are the monologue, football taping and the show choir. If I could only pick one, I think the show choir would be my number one pick.
